Blacksmiths shop and cottage. Early to mid C19. Shale rubble with granite
dressings, scantle slate roof and brick chimneys. One room smiths shop and 1 room
wide double depth cottage. Shop in upper end to left is single storey and has wide
doorway with monolithic granite jamb to left and granite jambstones to right and
wooden lintel over. Double doors with stable door to left. Only window is 2 light
casement with small panes in slightly arched opening with granite jambstones and
voussoirs. Brick chimney over ridge to right. 2 storey cottage under same roof
curves back following line of road. Door to left and wide window to right with C20
3 light casement in openings similar to shop window. First floor 12 pane sash is
centrally placed over ground floor one. Roof adjoins gables of flanking buildings.
