Chapel House and
adjoining former barn

Farmhouse and barn now private house. Probably C18 with alterations dated and
inscribed over entrance C. & M.W. 1814. Whitewashed rubble walls under
graduated greenslate roof with painted rendered chimney stacks. Barn of similar
stonework under C20 tile roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with lower 2-storey barn to
right. C20 door in alternate-block red sandstone surround under keyed frieze.
Flanking double sash windows, and sash windows above,all in red sandstone
surrounds. Small fire window to extreme right. Barn has plank door in red
sandstone alternate-block surround. C20 glazed loft door and opening; wooden
mullioned opening in end wall. Additions to left are not of interest.
