Description

ST DAY TRESADDERN HILL
SW 74 SW
(west side)
6/373
Barn approx. 4 metres to north
of Tresaddern Farmhouse
GV
II
Barn. Probably early C18. Large uncoursed rubble, slobbered and painted white,
corrugated sheet roof probably replacing thatch. Long narrow rectangular range
at right-angles to farmhouse. Single storey; the south side has a stable door to
the left of the centre, a window and door near the rear end (where a modern
link is attached), a small window to the right of the centre, another small
window to the right of that with a lintel which has roll-moulding (probably re-
used), a loading door above, and a blocked doorway near the right-hand corner.
The gable wall has a stable door. The interior has renewed roof trusses. Forms
group with Tresaddern Farmhouse, and has a general appearance suggestive of
the appearance of that house before the C19 improvements.
