Wall, railings and gates to St Mary's Handbridge (qv)
churchyard and end of adjoining drive to Rectory, Overleigh
Road (qv). 1887. By FB Wade at expense of the first Duke of
Westminster. Rock-faced sandstone and wrought-iron. Battered
wall approx 1m high with hollow-chamfered copings and gabled
bay-piers with niches; cross-gabled gate piers to 3 gateways
to church and one to Rectory. Wrought-iron railings on walls
with "barleysugar" bars, ornamental quatrefoil panels with
double ribs, those at top with foliar scrollwork. Ornate
wrought-iron gates, 2 pedestrian and one for carriages to
churchyard and one for carriages to Rectory drive.
