Detached house. c1840. Stucco, roof of slate.
2 storeys over basement, 2-window ranges to Powis Square and
Powis Villas.the house is L-shaped in plan with an entrance in
the angle and the longer stem of the L rusticated on the
ground floor: flat-arched entrance with overlight framed by
pilasters and entablature; segmental bay to ground and first
floors in Powis Square with triple windows and window-guard to
ground floor, segmental bay to ground floor only in Powis
villas, also with triple windows, the windows divided by
pilasters with stepped capitals; storey band; one first-floor
window blank; sashes of original design to southernmost
first-floor window in Powis Villas; bracketed eaves; hipped
roof; corniced side stacks.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Stucco dwarf garden walls with
moulded coping and square corniced gate piers. This house
matches No.3 Powis Villas (qv) on the other side of Powis
Square.
