GV II

House. C18 with C19 wing. Dressed blue lias limestone refaced
with brick, partly rendered and brick wing; gabled old tile
and slate roofs with brick end stacks and cross-axial stack.
T-plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2-window range to each side of gabled
wing. Range to right of wing has cogged frieze over ground
floor and top modillioned brick cornice. Entrance to left of
centre has architrave to 6-panel door (2 fielded panels, 2
glazed, 2 flush). Small window to left and segmental-headed
window to right with 3-light small-paned casements; first
floor has 2 windows with similar casements with iron opening
casements.
Small single-storey wing to right has plank door and large
window to return. End of projecting 2-storey wing has
segmental-headed window with sill and chamfered reveals to
each floor with 2-light small-paned casement; returns have
3-light casements.
Range to left is rendered with modillioned brick cornice;
entrance has glazed door, window to left has lintel over
2-light casement and window to right has 3-light casement;
entrance to right end has overlight to glazed door; first
floor has 2-light leaded casement; C20 gabled dormer.
Former barn to left end, stone and brick with slate roof, is
much altered.
