House with shop, now with offices. Mid C19. Ashlar,
colourwashed. Welsh slate roof behind high parapet, brick
chimney stacks.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 3 wide bays. Side pilasters with fielded
panels, fluted string course between upper floors, cornice
with parapet having three recessed panels. 2 C20 shop fronts
to ground floor, but in centre a doorway with 5-panel door set
in timber doorcase having fluted pilasters and simple
entablature, sash windows in plain surrounds above, 12-pane to
first floor and 9-pane to second floor. C20 projecting hanging
sign between bays 1 and 2 at first floor level.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Part of the development which took place after Broad Street
(formerly Wette or Water Lane) was widened in the years
1835-1849.
