TIVERTON

including front area railings

GV II

House. Early or mid C19. Solid rendered walls. Roof not
visible from street. Rendered chimneys on side walls, those on
left side with small cornices.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with basement and garret. 2 windows wide.
Raised band above ground storey. Pilasters flanking whole
front, these supporting a top entablature and blocking-course.
6-panelled door, fanlight with radial bars, Doric porch with
semicircular pediment, all probably C20. Windows have 6-paned
sashed and bracketed sills, except that basement-sashed and
top third storey sashes are 3-paned. Left side wall has
round-arched window with small paned sashes, and another
window with 6-paned fixed sash and louvred transom light.
6-panelled door at left-hand end.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: area railing with alternating long and
short uprights, 2 of the standards with scrolled tops.
