Engine house, now shelter. Dated 1821 on inscribed panel.
Yellow stock brick with stone-coped parapet and plinth, rear
removed.
1 storey, 3 bays to street. Wider central entranceway and 2
smaller window openings with stone sills all with gauged brick
segmental arches and now blind. Square sunk panels flanking
plaque above.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms a pair with the former watch house (qv). The watch house
and the engine house flank the street front of the former
burial ground, now a park.
