Watch house. Dated 1821 on inscribed panel. Yellow stock brick
with stone-coped parapet and plinth, lower, lean-to slate roof
behind.
1 storey, 3 bays to street. Wider central entrance flanked by
2 small window openings with stone sills, all with gauged
brick segmental arches. Square sunk panels flanking plaque
above. Plaque with inscription about burial ground
incorporated into right return.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms a pair with matching engine house (qv). The watch house
and engine house flank the street front of the former burial
ground, now a park.
