2 gate piers with adjoining boundary wall and boundary pier.
c1830 with later restoration. Irregular U-shape on plan, with
walls fronting Suffolk Square, returning along Suffolk Road
and returning again to Southwood Lane for approx 140m
altogether. Includes pedestrian entrance to Suffolk Road and 2
pedestrian entrances to Southwood Lane. Stucco over brick
piers, approx 2m high with chamfered plinths, shafts square on
plan, frieze cornice and shaped caps. Brick walls with stone
coping approx 2m high. Pedestrian entrances have plank doors
and elliptical arches.
A significant streetscape feature, forms part of a
distinguished group of listed buildings in Suffolk Square.
