Shop with flats over. Late C18, third floor probably C19 addition, shopfront c1868. Limestone ashlar to front, ashlar and rubble to rear, ashlar to sides; double pile parapeted roof. Covering not visible to front, double Romans to rear.
EXTERIOR: House has shallow segmental bow to front, set at angle to line of Landsdown Road with mid C19 shopfront now extending to back of pavement; possibly intended to be part of further development not executed, see additional stack with fireplaces to right side. Staircase to rear. Four-storeys and basement; one-window range. First-floor has two/two six/six two/two curved triple sash with timber mullions in plain reveal with stone sill set within recessed panel extending from sill up to sill of second floor window; second floor has similar sash with horns in plain reveal with blind segmental head with stone sill with continuous wrought iron balconette. Third floor has two small paired plate glass sashes in plain reveals with continuous stone sill. Ground-floor has C19 timber shopfront with two plate glass windows with V-section timber mullions at angles and half-glazed door recessed up four stone and timber steps to centre; eight-pane fixed glazed panels to stall risers to light basement, panelled pilasters to left and right; blind box over and fascia at angle. To left pair of three-panel doors with overlight, all set within surround with three pilasters with incised decoration with palmettes, with heavy moulded console brackets over, to right now partially missing, with frieze and cornice with enriched modillions.
