Description

"Cambuslang Subscription School 1848" on inscription panel central on facade. Symmetrical late Georgian style, 2 storey, advanced 3-bay centre; ends proportioned as single bay, door and window squeezed in to each at ground: doors are tall (especially at left hand side, where ground slopes away) to maintain common lintel height. Raised flat margins (carried to base on ground floor windows). 1st floor sill course, droved dressings, main wall area built of squared rubble, unmoulded main cornice, blocking course, centre raised feature possibly a stack base. Slate roof; end stack.
