Very rare Horse Bier (elor feirch in Welsh) as hung here on the South wall. About 17 feet ( about 5 metres) long with six cross bars for the coffin to rest on. A horse was harnessed between the shafts at each end. This Bier dates from the 18th century and was essential for bringing the dead down from distant mountain farms to the graveyard.
