Later C18 to early C19 quayside house, altered in early C20. Matching pair with No 35 but possibly not originally so. Buildings are marked on the site on the 1844 tithe map. A photograph of c1900 shows grouted roofs and simple eaves-breaking upper windows, similar to the Royal Oak in the Square.
House, painted stucco with slate roof and painted rendered end stacks, the right end stack large and square. One and a half storeys, 3-window range offset to left. C19 plate glass horned sashes with slightly cambered heads, the upper windows breaking eaves under gables with bargeboards and finials. Door central to window range with boarded porch.
Included as a traditional house in a prominent quayside position, the large end chimney indicating a C18 origin.
