An C18 or early C19 farm building shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey.
A former cow house of coursed field-stone, with a roof of graded slates behind coped gables. On the E side facing the track to the house is a central split boarded door, to the R of which is a ventilation strip. To the L is an outshut under a catslide roof, with boarded door. The R gable end has a boarded loading door. The rear is built into a bank.
The 3-bay roof has tie beams with raking struts.
Listed for its special architectural interest as a well-preserved vernacular farm building retaining definite regional character, and as part of a strong farm group with the house.
