Tower window with St Edward the Confessor. Above him is St Egdetha (Edith) flanked by King Ethelred and Queen Emma. Surrounding the Confessor are panels containing examples of his deeds. Below his feet are his Arms: Azure a cross patonce between 5 martlets or. These are also the Arms of University College, Oxford. But the advowson remains with Trinity College, Cambridge, granted by Henry VIII on their foundation in 1546. -To the glory of God and in memory of Edward Wood of Newbold Revel who was born 9th April 1796 died 25th October 1882. This window (was given by) his wife and others-. (Photo Sept 2013).
