This shield, or achievement of Arms (hatchment), a funerary device rather than a claim of patent, sets out the noble houses who have given the Feildings honour. The top left and bottom right are Sir Basil Fielding, in between are the heirships he might lay claim to. Squashed in with Feilding is: Ermine on a fess 3 escallops (Ingram). From left to right: Three buckles; A bend between 6 martlets; A fess dancettee in chief 3 barbarians faces; A chevron in chief a barbarians face; A lion rampant; On a chevron, a rose between 2 crescents, in chief a talbot courant, in a bordure 12 roundels; then the saltire vair.
