In the chancel, looking west. The poppy head bench ends of the choir stalls are modelled as fleurs de lys, the Digby emblem. The traditional form represents a tied sheaf of corn. The 12 branched, brass, chandelier was a gift of John Digby d.1758. To the right, the north arcade is of c1190. Both arcades have head stops facing only into the nave. In the nave roof, the intermediate beams, between the wall plates, carry the carved angels. Tall, double chamfered tower arch on polygonal responds. (Photo Apr 2008).
