House in row, with shop. Early C19 front, C17 or C18 fabric.
Rendered front over Flemish bond brickwork, tile roof, brick
stack. A parapeted front over Old Post Office Alley to the
right, conceals a steeply pitched hipped roof in front block,
parapeted also to the rear, with a further lower wing to a
large, broad gable stack. 3 storeys and basement, 2-windowed.
4-pane sashes, those to first floor very lofty, on stone
cills. Wide C20 display window in channelled pilasters, with
set-back doorway to the left and throughway to the right.
Plain frieze and moulded cornice below a plain blocking
course, slightly raised and brought forward in the middle
section. Large stack to the right. The throughway has a
section of brick barrel vault approx 2m from the front.
