GV II

House. Circa C18 origins extended in mid C19. Stone rubble, painted on front
elevation and slate hung on rear elevation. Slate roof with gable ends.
Plan: Original plan probably of double depth arrangement with 2 principal rooms on
front, passage near centre and 2 narrower service rooms to rear. In circa mid C19
the house was extended with a 2-room plan rear wing containing further principal
rooms with service rooms accommodated in cellar. Probably coeval with this a shop
was inserted in the front.
Exterior: 2 storeys and attic. Regular 3-window front with slate string above first
floor openings. C19 shop to left with C19 door to right of centre and 4-pane sash to
right. Three C19 4-pane sashes on first floor with slate string above.
Interior: Complete late C18 and mid C19 joinery and carpentry details.
