House. C16, refronted in mid C18. Timber-framed structure, refronted in brick.

Main elevation to Belmont of three storeys and five bays, with pedimented central bay. Central doorcase with side window lights in rusticated architrave with pediment. Twelve-pane sash window over doorway, flanked by blind side lights. Windows in central section have stuccoed heads with stressed voussoirs, while the twelve-pane sashes in the outer bays have flat-arched finely gauged brick heads. Moulded eaves cornice continues across the pediment. Fine cast-iron rainwater goods. A further bay to the right on ground and first floors is partly incorporated in the structure of the adjoining house (Nos 5 and 5A Belmont, qv).

In the Belmont Bank elevation, the earlier timber-framing is exposed: close studding with jettied first floor with ogee-arched tension bracing. Herringbone panelling in gable over collar carved with vine-leaf motif. Inserted casement windows on each floor.
