Walls, railings, gate piers and
gates to Christ Church

GV II

Boundary wall with railings, gate piers and gates. Probably
c1870 by Richard Adams. Coursed gritstone wall fronts Christ
Church (qv) and vicarage (not included) grounds, overall
length approx 120m. Coursed gritstone, cast-iron railings,
ashlar piers with square plinth, octagonal shaft, moulding and
pointed capstones; gates have elaborate interlaced bars with
ball finials. Included for group value.
