Two cottages, now one house. Mid C19. Freestone architraves
and plinth; roughcast over limestone rubble to the front,
English-bond brick right return with freestone rusticated
quoin; slate roof with a moulded ashlar stack to the right
gable end. Double-depth plan with a C20 single-depth right
wing.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range including a flying
freehold over No.20 to the left (qv). Door to the left of
centre, C19 2-light windows to the left. Stretcher-bond brick
to the C20 wing which has a door and window to the gable end.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: limestone rubble front garden walls and
C19 wooden gate.
HISTORY: The Butts was a place where archery was practised.
