Dovecote and attached mounting block at entrance to Rectory

Dovecote and attached mounting block. c1720. For the Rev.
Benjamin Carter, rector 1694-1733, builder of the rectory
(qv). Restored 1980. Red brick, with plain tile and pantile
roof and coped gables with brick kneelers. Single storey,
square plan. Central plank door in beaded frame. Flight holes
probably blocked at restoration. To left, square mounting
block, brick, with steps and stone slab top.
INTERIOR has restored gypsum plaster and brick nest boxes.
Inscribed plaque attached to building.
