Small house at end of row. Probably C17 or C18 with mid C19
front. Rendered, some light timber-framing in gable, tile
roof.
2 storeys and attic, 1-windowed; a C20 gabled face dormer
above 4-pane sashes to splayed V-joint lintels and thin stone
cills. To left a C20 door in moulded jambs on stone step under
similar lintel. The upper part of the front wall oversails
slightly, in the same plane, that of the adjoining No.47 (qv).
Rendered return to Chance Street has a small oriel at ground
floor, and a single light to the attic. Back wing in C19 brick
with lofty eaves stack. The party wall to No.47 is in light
framing. INTERIOR not inspected.
