House. Probably late C17 with C18 alterations. Red brick with
plain tiled roof and brick axial and gable end stacks. Brick
plinth and nogged brick sill and eaves bands. 2 storeys and
cellar. Front faces southwest and Worcester Road. Main range
and gabled cross wing to left, gabled projection to right.
3-window range in all, a 3-light casement under cambered brick
arch on each floor of wing and projection and a 2-light
mid-floor window between lighting stairs and with margin
lights. Brick work shows signs of alterations to fenestration
probably C18. NW side, facing Hartlebury Road has panelled
door and overlight within gabled porch and a 2-light casement
both floors to left. Further casements to rear, massive
projecting end stack and door with date 1671 in studs, a
possible date for the building. Interior: ogee-stop-chamfered
spine beams to both floors and moulded cross beams in former
kitchen. Plank and 6-panelled doors. Fine wide dog-leg
staircase with splat balusters.
