Pair of houses. Early C19 with later alterations. Coursed squared gritstone with
gritstone dressing and quoins. Stone slate roof to eastern house, slate roof to
western one. Brick gable end and ridge stacks to eastern house, similar gable
end stack to western house. Stone coped gables with moulded kneelers to either
end of the building, also coved eaves band. Beech Cottage, to west, single bay,
attached house, two bays, both two storeys. Eastern house has flush doorcase
with glazed panelled door flanked by glazing bar sashes in flush surrounds to
either side. Two similar windows above. Beech Cottage, to west, has flush
quoined doorcase with C20 glazed door to east and plain sash in flush surround
to west. Similar window above. Included for group value only.
