Wedderburn House

GV II

Small block of mansion flats. 1884-5. By Horace Field. Red
brick, tile roofs, wooden windows (mainly sashes) painted
white. Queen Anne or early Neo-Georgian style. 4 main storeys
with further 2 storeys in roof. Front has twin gables, and
beneath them bays through 4 storeys linked across centre on
lower 2 storeys with entrance in centre beneath broad
round-headed arch. Rear elevation asymmetrical and remarkably
plain, with gable right of centre and tiers of plain sash
windows. INTERIOR not inspected.
Part of a group with Nos 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 (qqv), also
early works by Field. No.1 was for members of his family.
