ACTON SCOTT

SO48NE Entrance Lodge approximately 370
1312-1/10/8 metres north of Acton Scott Hall

Lodge to Acton Scott Hall, now office of Acton Scott Farm
Museum. Early C19 incorporating earlier fabric from late
C16-early C17. Rubblestone. Plain and club pattern tile roofs,
overhanging eaves and verge with carved front bargeboard
reusing C16 fabric. 2 brick ridge stacks. T-shaped plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Front with single mullion window over
mullion and transom window to gable end to left and to side
face to right, both faces fixed with moulded oak sections from
late C16-early C17. Central projecting gabled entrance porch,
single-storey extension to right. Rear: single C20 casements
in brick lined openings.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
