GV II

House. Late C17. Painted timber-frame and painted brick infill
on painted brick plinth. Plain-tile roof with ornamental ridge
tiles. Eaves line raised on rear pitch. Projecting brick
stepped gable-end stacks, one to right with cogged cap. Range
of 2 framed bays with small extensions each end.
EXTERIOR: single storey and attic. Front with square framing 3
panels high with 3 C20 2-light casements with lattice-leaded
lights. 2 tiled gabled dormers with 3-light casements. C20
tiled gabled projecting porch. Right return side: square
framing with rails, studs and brace. Gable-end truss with
cambered tie beam, 4 vertical struts, and collar with raking
struts. Single trenched-purlin roof evident. Gable part
covered by large brick stack with tiled offsets and tiled
lean-to outshut. Left return side: gable-end truss with
vertical struts, collar with twin raking struts. Ground floor
masked by lean-to extension with eyebrow eaves window with
casement with lattice-leaded lights. Rear: square framing 4
panels high, with straight brace. C20 2-light casements with
lattice-leaded lights. Square framing in lean-to side wall to
right. 2-light casement to lean-to wall to left.
