Includes: Boundary wall & 2 archways to W & S sides of
churchyard of Church of All Saints KING STREET WEST.
Includes: Boundary wall & 2 archways to W & S sides of
churchyard of Church of All Saints CRAWFORD STREET.
Boundary wall to churchyard, with 2 archways and some
railings. Archway to west of church probably late C15 or early
C16; the rest probably later C19. Coursed squared sandstone;
cast-iron railings. The archway west of the church has
chamfered piers with buttresses, a moulded depressed arch with
a hood-mould which has square stops and a C20 finial cross;
and a 2-stage hipped and pitched cavetto-moulded parapet. The
boundary wall attached to this, curved round to Crawford
Street, is approximately 1-2m high with 16 ramps down the
slope; former railings to this wall removed. At the curved
south corner to King Street West is a C19 archway copying the
other (but with a flight of steps on the inner side rising to
church gardens). Beyond this archway the wall follows King
Street West as far as the former Reform Club building, where
it makes a re-entrant turn behind that building and towards
the church, the whole of this length being approximately 3m
high, with 3 ramps to King Street West, and surmounted by
cast-iron railings matching those which enclose the church.
Forms group with Church of All Saints (qv).
