Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house forming part of irregular terrace. Harl-pointed whin and sandstone rubble; rubble dressings; sandstone cills (painted at ground).

SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 2-leaf boarded timber door centred at ground; 2-pane letterbox fanlight. Single windows at both floors in flanking bays.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 1997.

6-pane replacement timber casement windows. Grey slate roof; raised stone skews; moulded skewputt to right. Replacement rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

PAVEMENT: cobbled path to front of house forming part of continuous stretch to front of terrace.

Statement of Interest

B Group with remaining houses in row (with the exception of Poltarie). One of the most significant buildings within this irregular terrace, Dye Neuk has retained some good detailing. A picturesque group of buildings, The Row stands at the centre of Longformacus village, overlooking the Dye Water.
