Earlier 19th century with later alterations. Single storey with attic, 3 bay house forming part of irregular terrace. Harl-pointed rubble (some plastic repairs); droved sandstone dressings. Long and short sandstone surrounds to chamfered openings; projecting cills.
SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: boarded timber door off-set to right of centre; corbelled and gabled wallhead dormer (blocked) off set to left above. Boarded timber garage door at ground in bay to outer left (timber lintel); bipartite gabled wallhead dormer breaking eaves above. Tripartite window at ground in bay to outer right; gabled wallhead dormer (blocked) breaking eaves above.
NW (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 1997.
Lying-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows (some blocked). Grey slate roof; raised stone skews; cast-iron rainwater goods. Brick ridge stack to NE; sandstone ridge stack to SW (mutual with adjacent No 5?); circular cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
PAVEMENT: cobbled path to front of house forming part of continuous stretch to front of terrace.
B Group with remaining houses in row (with the exception of Poltarie). Empty 1997. Despite its current state of disrepair, there remain some good details. A picturesque group of buildings, The Row stands at the centre of Longformacus village, overlooking the Dye Water.
