History

Earlier C20 finger post giving directions to Maesmynis, Builth Wells, Llanynis and Llangammarch Wells, erected by Brecon County Council.

Exterior

Iron fingerpost with 3 rings to shaft, 3 indicator arms and top circular finial. Arms are lettered 'Maesmynis'; 'Builth Wells 3/4'; and 'Llanynis/ Llangammarch Wells 6 3/4'. Top circle is inscribed 'Brecon County'.

Reasons for Listing

Included as a scarce surviving example of the cast-iron direction posts which were part of the development of road transport.
