Wall Monument in the south aisle, with moulded pilasters and an Arms: Ermine three greyhounds courant sable collared gules, on a canton of the last a lion passant or (Moore of Appleby Parva). Inscription: In a Vault underneath Lies interred the Body of George Moore, Esquire Of an ancient Family in this Parish, Greatly esteemed For many excellent Virtues, Of which The Love of his Country And Benevolence to the Poor Were not the least. He died the 13th day of July, 1751, In the 63d Year of his Age. Charles Moore, of the Middle-Temple, London, Esquire and the Rev. Thomas Moore, M. A. His Nephews and Executors, Erected this Monument to his Memory-. According to Nichols, there was a hatchment above this, bearing the same arms. (Photo Sept 2015).
