Pulled and stood in the porch. Rectangular slate, moulded heart shape inscription panel. Feather winged angels and harvest flowers and grain grasses. Here lieth the Body of Hugh Stanton of Little Appleby who departed this life the 22d Day of August Anno Dom~ 1717 Aged 50. Here lyeth Also the Body of Elizabeth his wife who departed this Life the 5th Day of December Anno Dom~ 1722 Aged ?49. (Photo sept 2015).
