GV II

House. c.1850-60, altered. Red brick in Flemish bond with
sandstone dressings and roof of hexagonal slates. L-plan front
block with back extension. Two storeys and 3 windows, the 3rd
in a projecting gabled wing to the right; with stone plinth
and bracketed eaves. The 2-window main range has 2 tall
windows on each floor, all with chamfered stone surrounds and
those at ground floor protected by a verandah; the gable of
the wing has a stone canted bay window at ground floor and a
window of 2 round-headed lights above, with a stone architrave
and cornice on consoles. All these windows have altered
glazing. The left gable wall has a doorway with moulded stone
architrave and small cornice on consoles, and a panelled door
with 3-pane overlight; and a round-headed window above. The
right-hand return wall has a projected gable containing a
round-headed staircase window with margin panes. Included for
group value.
