Terrace of 5 similar houses. c1830s. Stucco; No.18 has grouted
scantle slate roof, otherwise asbestos slate; brick chimneys
over the cross party walls. Double-depth plan: each house has
reception room at the front and entrance hall leading to stair
hall on the left. 2 storeys; each house has a 2-window-range
front. 6-panel doors with plain fanlights set in semi-circular
arched architraves with stucco rustication to Nos 18-20. Flat
arches over late C19 four-pane sashes; stucco rustications to
doorways of Nos 18 & 19; C19 four-pane sashes. INTERIORS:
where inspected retain original carpentry, joinery and
plasterwork details including panelled doors and shutters,
moulded architraves and moulded and carved ceiling cornices
and bands. Included for group value.
