l832, architect Richard Lane. A monumental range in ashlar. 2 storeys and
basement and modern attic storey. Ground floor in channelled rustication.
Central Greek Doric tetrastyle portico with full entablature and pediment containing
clock-face. Windows are arranged 2-8-3-8-2. Advanced wings to sides, each
with pediment with laurel wreath ornament. Frieze and parapet. Additions
of early C20 to right.

Stockport Infirmary forms a visual group with the Town Hall.
