Large house. Early C19 with later C19 additions. Original
range of ashlar, additions of coursed gritstone rubble, hipped
slate roofs. The original house of 2 storeys and 5 x 4 bays.
Corner pilasters.
On E facade a central 4-panel door, the top 2 panels glazed,
traceried overlight, in plain corniced surround. Sashes with
glazing bars throughout, those to bay 2, ground and 1st
floors, and bay 4, 1st floor are blind; continuous 1st-floor
sill band. Cornice and shallow blocking course; corniced
stacks to left and right, behind ridge. Projecting added range
on right, with 3-light, 8-pane windows in splayed corner. Left
return: fenestration and details as front, blind windows bay
