Rear Admiral the Honourable George Pryse Campbell was the second son of John Lord Cawdor and Lady Caroline Howard, daughter of the Earl of Carlisle. He died 12th Jan 1858 aged 64, having married Charlotte, second daughter of General Gascoyne, MP. -Sorrow not even as others which have no hope, for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him-. (1 Thessalonians 4 v 13 and 14). The monument is situated above the arch to the organ recess. (Photo Oct 2010).
