In the Lort Chapel on the south wall. Born on 27th Feb 1793, Lady Elizabeth Thynne, daughter of Thomas Thynne, 2nd Marquess of Bath and the Honourable Isabella Elizabeth Byng, She married on 5 September 1816, John Frederick Campbell, 2nd Baronet and later 1st Earl Cawdor. They had seven children. She died 16th Feb 1866. The Arms to the right are Campbell of Cawdor: Quarterly, 1st, Or, a harts bead cabossed sable attired gules, for Calder; 2nd, Gyronny of eight or and sable, for Campbell; 3rd, Argent a lymphad oars in action sable, for Lorne ; 4th, Per fess azure and gules a cross or, for Lort. Motto Be Mindfull. The Arms to the right are Barry of ten, or and sable for Boteville, quartering Argent a lion rampant, tail nowed (knotted) gules for Thynne. Motto J’ay Bonne Cause. Both Arms are surmounted by an earls coronet. (Photo Oct 2010).
