History

Bee-boles were created to house straw beehives or skeps. They mostly have a SE facing aspect and all in Glamorgan are built into garden walls. Wooden beehives replaced them in the mid C19.

Exterior

Range of 6 small round-arched recesses with voussoirs painted white set into inner side of garden wall facing SW.

Listed as an interesting survival of a range of bee-boles and for group value with the farmhouse.
