--5-- One of the Belvoir Angels headstones by a local craftsman. Rectangular slate with round-faced winged angel and -Come ye blessed-, to: Thomas son of Joseph Page by Elizabeth his wife d. 1st Jun 1720 in his 3rd year. -Do not for me in tears remain/ Your loss I hope will be my gain- Meaning a place in heaven. The folk-art angel is intended to encourage the departed soul to ascend. (Photo Mar 2014).
