South aisle table tomb of Derbyshire marble, serving as an altar -Hic jacet Aliciae Georgii Sitwelli de Renishaw in Comitatu Derbiensi Armigeri filiae natu minimae Gulielmi Sacheverell de Barton in Comitatu Nottinghamiensi armigeri uxoris nuper formosae caste dilectae. Cui duos dedit filios Guilelmum scilicet et Henrieum Spem Parentis et Solamen. si quid Pietas preces et humilitas valeant (quas Deus magni aestimat et in quibus tota fuit) ipsa (exiit) hac vita transiit in beatissimam Augusti die Vicesimo Anno Domini millesimo Septemgentesimo decimo tertio Aetatis Suae vicesimo sexto-. My translation: Here lies Alice youngest daughter of George Sitwell of Renishaw in the County of Derby, Esquire who married, as a lovely, chaste and beloved bride, William Sacheverell of Barton in the county of Nottinghamshire, Esquire, to whom she gave two sons, called William, that is, and Henry, the Hope and solace of his Parent. If Piety prayer and humility, have worth (which great God judges, and in whose name all is done) she departed from this life in blissfulness, the twentieth day of August in the Year of the Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirteen, the Years of her Age: twenty six.
