South wall of chancel, a mural monument above a tomb. -Here lieth buried Raffe Sacheverell Esqr sonne and heire of William, second sonne of Henry Sacheverell Knight and Emme, Daughter of William Dethick Esqr. his wyfe had issue William, Anthony, John, John, Thomas, Edmund, and Raefe, and Henry, Mary, Lucy, Jane, Millicent, Isabell, Dorothie, and Ellen. Raffe died the First of September 1605 and Emme died the Laste of Aprill 1606-. The inscription is surrounded by heraldic shields relating to the family line. A band of modillion extends under it. The plaque is flanked by single Doric columns which support a dentil cornice Above is a small picture of a skull, and at the top, the Sacheverell Arms. (Photo Oct 2014).
