1) The boy Jesus with the scholars in the Temple. 2) The magi present their gifts to the Holy Infant. The myrrh casket is in the form of a chapel. 3) The rabbi selects a young student for vocational work (see the Who me? gesture). 4) The noble lady approaches the (bishops) throne. Her gift of the chapel she has founded is carried as model next to her train. The lack of haloes in the lower panels can imply modesty and also that the subject has not been canonised (made a saint).
