Wall monument with urn on top and lozenge of Arms: Sable a chevron between three boars heads erased or (Hayes). Sacred to the memory of Ann Briscoe Hayes Daughter of John Hayes of South Carolina Gent. She was Virtuous, Modest, prudent, Cheerfully Devout, as Sincerely Religious. Adornd with every Quality of A Serious Christian An Amiable Woman She submitted to a tedious and severe illness With the utmost calmness And Died on the XVIIth (17th) of February MDCCXLIIII (1744) In the XXXVIth (36th) Year of her Age.
